--Support worker for 2 young men (Autism Spectrum Disorder). Both young men are verbal and attend day programs. They have identified that a sense of humour and patience are important characteristics for their workers.
--family managed funding (Persons with Developmental Disabilities)
--Part-time position (2 or more) to support individuals in their home and in community. Because the individuals live independently with a supportive worker/roommate, at least one shift would be over-night (worker can sleep, but needs to be available if needed). Shifts may be flexible.
--Duties to include (but not limited to):
--light housekeeping and supporting individuals to participate in household chores.
--cooking, meal planning
--assistance in choice making and problem solving
--prompting and assistance when required re: Activities of Daily Living and self-care.
There are 2 cats in the home.
Police check required Valid driver’s license for transport (applicants welcome without driver’s license for “in the home” activities. Will provide ‘on the job’ training specific to individuals.
