• Provide preventative dental health education, preventative dental services, and perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties.
• Set up instruments and dental supplies, pass instruments to the Dentist during treatments, and assist the dental staff.
• Explain dental procedures, post-operative, and oral hygiene instructions.
• Prepare instruments for sterilization and ensure applicable equipment is functional
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Taking impressions, pouring and separating models and fabricating appliances such as whitening trays, sports guards.

• Knowledge of the current techniques and standards of preventive and restorative clinical practice.
• Ability to work within a team environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and children.
• Comfortable working independently with minimal direction, problem solve, take initiative, anticipate potential problems/conflicts, and take appropriate action.
• Deal tactfully and effectively with co-workers, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
• While previous dental assisting experience is preferred, newer grads welcome to apply.
