Job Description: |
Under the direction of the Front of the House Manager, the Cashier
position is applicable to the Bingo Hall, Buffet or the Gift Shop. The Cashier
is responsible for conducting and reconciling money transactions in an accurate
and timely manner. Emphasis must be placed on exceptional customer service, as
the Cashier will be conducting transactions directly with customers. Attention
to detail is required for balancing purposes at the start and end of each
specified shift. All necessary precautions are required to ensure the safety
and health of customers and ensure that safe work practices are adhered to at
all time.
Responsibilities Include:
•Provide excellent guest service consistent with Company's core service
standards and brand attributes.
•For the Bingo Hall and Buffet, review all daily specials, promotions and menu
items, menu prices and hours of operation.
•For the Gift Shop, responsible for all inventories on display, opening and
closing procedures, inventory of Cigarettes and Lottery Scratch Tickets, follow
policies and procedures in the selling, redeeming and cancelling of Online
Lottery Tickets.
•Perform payment transactions for guests accurately and efficiently.
•Ensure all items required at service stations are in place prior to the start
of, and end of each shift.
•Ensure all AGLC, casino and other provincial or federally mandated laws,
policies and procedures are understood and adhered to at all times.
•Develop and maintain positive relationships with all guests, food and beverage
staff and other casino staff.
•Must always report to work on time.
•Must always present themselves in a clean neat uniform.
•Must always maintain proper hygiene and grooming.
•Communicate to the FOH Manager or Supervisor any issues that may require
assistance to remedy.
•Attend meetings and training programs when required.

Education Required: |
•A valid Alberta Pro Serve Certification
•1-2 years experience in cash handling experience in a fast paced environment.
•Experience working with POS systems would be an asset.
|
Skills Requirements: |
•Possess excellent interpersonal and strong verbal and written
communication skills to promote and deliver impeccable service and standards at
all times.
•Ability to work and thrive in a team oriented environment, and be able to
function independently also
•Ability to work in a physically demanding area and be familiar with a
high-volume, fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
•Must be available for shift-work, be able to stand for long periods of time
•Must be aware of and able to work in a smoking environment
•May require lifting weight of up to approximately 50 lbs.
