Job Description:

Under the direction of the Executive Housekeeper, the Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for the highest quality of cleanliness within the hotel through directing and coordinating the housekeeping employees in accordance with hotel standards, as well the Housekeeping Supervisor will support in the management of the housekeeping department by overseeing daily operations with the view to achieve the department's goal of "picture perfect everywhere
Responsibilities include:
• Opening and closing the department
• Completing DND and No Service Walks
• Checking cash call rooms for damage and snack bar consumption
• Completing Lost and found logging and following up on guest inquires
• Checking rooms and corridors for cleanliness and condition
• Performance managing associates
• working hand in hand with the front desk to ensure all priorities are done in a timely manner


Education Required:

• High school diploma or work related equivalent
• Minimum three (2) years experience in hotel housekeeping industry
• Minimum three (2) years supervisory experience
• WHMIS and Biohazard clean up experience is an asset
• First Aid Training
• Experience with performance management through courses and action

  
Skills Requirements:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required in order to, promote, maintain and deliver impeccable service standards at all times.
• Customer service experience and well-developed leadership skills.
• Proven ability to coach, mentor and train associates.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must be accurate and detail oriented.
• Must be able to work in a variety of shifts.
• Must be able to lift weight up to approximately 50 lbs
• Working knowledge of floor machines (and any other relevant equipment) and asset.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding area, able to lift and handle repetitive movement is required.
