Job Description: |
The Slot Cashier is directly responsible for the operations of the front
window, transactions with the count room, and assisting
with cart transfers as required by the Cage Supervisor. The slot cashier is to
promote and maintain the utmost integrity and
the highest caliber patron service to all internal and external patrons of the
Casino, while adhering to all rules and regulations
set forth by the company, the department and the Alberta Gaming & Liquor
Commission (AGLC).
Responsibilities include:
· Maintain a valid AGLC license
· Adheres to policies and procedures related to cashier duties and
ensures the policy of confidentiality within the
company is adhered to at all times
· Responsible for the safeguard of the entire inventory of the assigned
area, and ensuring that all patron
transactions are completed efficiently and accurately
· Ensure the integrity of all cage transactions processed during the
shift which include, but are not limited to the
following:
Preparing bank deposits and ordering cash
Processing, balancing and the verifications of all related paperwork
received from cashiers and/or
Supervisor and customer (including receiving coins, tickets, chips, coupons,
and cash equivalents in
exchange for cash)
issuing jackpots
Completing transfers as required to maintain the required cash drawer
impressment
Preparing fills and balance kiosk including data input and completing
all related paperwork
Completing documentation for main sheet
Emergency soft drop
Completing bulk runs
Cart transfers (i.e. ATM, TITO machines, etc)
Assist with slot moves
Maintain a high level of accuracy to stay within variance guidelines
· Perform other duties as required by the Cage Supervisor in relation to
the operation of the department

Education Required: |
· High school diploma
or equivalent required
· Minimum of one year previous banking or money handling skills preferred
|
Skills Requirements: |
· Possess high-quality
interpersonal skills and able to communicate clearly and effectively both
orally and in writing
· To logically and independently plan, organize, and complete tasks in a
timely manner
· Ability to perceive quality of work, read material and review
documents, receive/follow /apply instructions, perform basic
math skills and use problem solving skills, remain vigilant in the event of an
emergency
· Set and achieve high standards of performance and customer service
skills
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time; bend, stoop or kneel as
required
· Work with tools or equipment pertaining to job requirements
· Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull heavy objects of approximately
40 pounds
· OVERNIGHT SHIFT CAN BE REQUIRED
