Job Description: |
Under the direction of Outlets Manager – Bar the Mixologist is
responsible for the expert preparation and service of both alcoholic and
non-alcoholic beverages to guests and staff, using standardized and signature
recipes. The Mixologist plays a key role in creating a memorable and elevated
guest experience within the casino environment, ensuring service excellence,
product knowledge, and a strong understanding of safety and compliance
standards. Food service and bar support are also required as part of this role.
A learning period of one to three months may be necessary to fully grasp
internal processes, products, and expectations. Mixologists are primarily
stationed at Specialty Cocktail stations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver outstanding guest service aligned with the company’s core service
standards and brand values.
• Craft classic and creative cocktails using proper techniques, designated
glassware, and garnishes.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of daily specials, promotions, full beverage
menus, and food offerings in the assigned station, primarily Eagle Bar or
Remote stations.
• Take and process drink orders efficiently through the POS system; serve
drinks and food items with precision and presentation in mind.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant bar area in accordance with
Federal Health Code standards.
• Proactively engage with guests, respond to requests, and adapt to special
host needs or preferences.
• Ensure full compliance with AGLC, Grey Eagle Casino, and all applicable
liquor service regulations, including preventing service to minors or
intoxicated persons.
• Accurately handle guest payments, follow cash handling procedures, and
balance receipts at shift end.
• Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
• Support the Bar Manager and broader team in other tasks or operational needs
as directed.

Education Required: |
• Valid Alberta ProServe Certification.
• Demonstrated Mixology knowledge and skills
• 2–3 years of experience in a high-volume hospitality or food and beverage
environment.
• Completion of a recognized bartending or mixology program preferred.
• Post-secondary education in Hospitality Management is considered an asset.
• Prior casino or high-end venue experience is an advantage.
• Proficient in operating POS systems.

Skills Requirements: |
• Exceptional mixology skills, including knowledge of drink trends,
cocktail ingredients, and presentation.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Able to thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments while maintaining
attention to detail.
• Strong team player with the ability to work independently as needed.
• Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a smoking environment and around various scents and
perfumes.
• Availability for flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
